Altona North and Brooklyn
Neighborhood has complex social issues that include relief support services, well-being support for aged people, personal counselling needs, referral services, concerns about social isolation, youth services etc.
To effectively address these needs. The services and programs change accordingly and are identified through surveys and consultations as well as evaluation of programs and from user’s feedback during and after completion. The Centre regularly monitors and reflects on the implementation of new programs and activities that includes health, social, educational, recreational programs, information and referrals as well as emergency relief services, and short training courses.
Programs and Activities
The Centre provides a range services and programs which are dynamic; there is always a change depending on the needs of the community. When some of the existing community groups moving out newly emerging community groups join in the community and new programs are developed and put in place to meet the present-day community needs in line with the Council Social Planning Process .
Centre programs closely monitored, evaluated, and assessed based on the research and feed backs from users , new programs implemented. Term brochures/news letters regularly updated to reflect the current service delivery.
